He eventually moved on, but really helped me understand that these things are actually part of the game and not some hack that somebody is using to just hurt new players. The most popular great building in Forge of Empires is the Arc. But to his credit, he said he would stop if people message him and sent me a friend request and helped me a bit with learning some details of the game (such as collecting on time, not opening too many spots on my GB's etc.). After a few plunders and a snipe I DM'd him and asked him what his problem was. He was a plunderer supreme and knew my schedule better than me. I learned my lesson from this guy at the top of my hood early on. If the victim reaches out to you, just let them know that its part of the game mechanics and once you get over that fact, it becomes less and less scary and dangerous. So if I can give some advice, if you plunder or snipe first of all, don't be taunting. So doing something irrational makes sense for an emotional animal called human.Īs time goes on and you play for a while and are no longer hurting for goods for FPs at first the plundering is easily ignored and a bit later, snipping is also easily ignored. Add to that the player that did this has probably been playing for a while and is taking the whole thing less than seriously (and some of the meaner people will do some taunting as well). so being plundered and snipped feels like a personal attack. When you are a low level startup player, you are hurting for everything, from goods to FP's. It felt very invasive in a game that appeared at first to not have things like that. I can tell you how I felt though.Īt first I was very hurt by both being plundered and getting snipped. I have heard of this in this subreddit, but never seen it.
